Peak DataNet was founded in 2021 as a 501c3 non-profit with a bold vision to tackle digital exclusion in New Jersey. After a period of planning and refinement, we are proud to relaunch stronger, more focused, and ready to deliver real impact.We focus first on New Jersey’s most underserved communities—including low-income families, seniors, immigrants, veterans, people with disabilities, rural residents, and small businesses—in high-need counties such as Atlantic, Burlington, Cumberland, Essex, Salem, Sussex, and Warren, as well as cities like Newark and Jersey City. Our scalable model allows us to expand nationally as resources grow.Inspired by proven organizations like Human-I-T, EveryoneOn, and the National Digital Equity Center, we take a holistic approach: combining affordable access and devices with hands-on training and disaster-ready connectivity.While we deliver services on the ground, our affiliated 501(c)(4) sister organization, Technology Literacy Alliance, advances the public policies that make sustainable digital equity possible.Together, we’re building a future where technology empowers everyone.

Bridging the Digital Divide in New Jersey and Beyond

In collaboration with carriers and communities, we will deliver free or low-cost high-speed internet to low-income families, seniors, immigrants, veterans, people with disabilities, and small businesses—ensuring reliable connectivity where it's needed most.

Affordable Access

From basic online skills to advanced AI tools, our hands-on training empowers people and organizations to thrive in the digital world with confidence.

Digital Literacy Training

We collect, securely refurbish, and distribute laptops, tablets, and phones—reducing e-waste while putting powerful, accessible tools in the hands of low-income residents, veterans, people with disabilities, and entrepreneurs.

Affordable Access Devices

Deploying rapid-response disaster kits with off-grid power and internet access to restore critical connections during storms and emergencies—prioritizing the hardest-hit areas.

Resilient Connectivity

Today, we can help eligible residents enroll in Lifeline programs to receive discounted internet and phone services, promoting affordability and connectivity.We're working on becoming a community-focused Lifeline provider. Once operational, we will offer discounted phone and broadband service bundled with personalized training—making connectivity sustainable and supportive for veterans, people with disabilities, and other underserved households.

Lifeline Services

We're partnering with municipalities, developers, and communities to bring competitive, local ISP options to underserved areas—driving better service, accessibility, and lower prices for residents, including veterans and people with disabilities.

Broadband Competition

Nearly 48,000 New Jersey locations remain unserved or underserved for reliable broadband, highlighting the infrastructure and affordability gaps we're targeting.

Post-ACP affordability crisis: Millions of low-income households nationwide cut essentials like food/telehealth to stay online; New Jersey feels the sharpest impact in urban areas.

1 in 10 Hispanic and 1 in 13 Black households in parts of New Jersey lack internet subscriptions – higher in Essex/Newark.

Veterans and people with disabilities face compounded barriers: Twice as likely to be disabled nationally, with rural/highly rural veterans hit hardest by access gaps.

Targeting 7 high-need counties: Atlantic, Burlington, Cumberland, Essex, Salem, Sussex, Warren – home to persistent rural/urban divides.

The Challenge We’re Facing

Terri Beideman is a seasoned non-profit leader with deep expertise in digital inclusion, broadband advocacy, and community development in New Jersey. As Executive Director, she guides Peak DataNet’s relaunch, driving programs that deliver affordable internet, digital training, and refurbished devices to underserved residents—including veterans, people with disabilities, seniors, and immigrants—while building strategic partnerships for lasting impact.

Terri Beideman

Founding Trustee/Executive Director

Gabriela Martinez, a Registered Pharmacy Technician with education in the dental field, has seen firsthand how gaps in public health and access fail vulnerable people. A passionate advocate for second chances, she co-founded Tekcesta (an AI-driven health innovation startup) and now leads Peak DataNet’s outreach to ensure underserved communities, including immigrants, veterans, and people with disabilities, gain equitable access to connectivity and opportunity.

Benjamin Beideman is the visionary founder of Peak DataNet, with extensive experience in technology policy, broadband innovation, and social impact initiatives. He drives the organization’s strategic direction, forging partnerships that deliver affordable connectivity, digital training, and resilient solutions to underserved New Jersey communities, including veterans, people with disabilities, immigrants, and small businesses, while championing equitable access for all.

Justin Beideman has been involved with Peak DataNet since its founding in 2021, collaborating closely with Executive Director Terri Beideman on multiple initiatives. With years of experience delivering research-driven projects that improve technology in supply chains and community services, Justin brings meticulous attention to detail and unique insights to operations, program development, and partnerships—ensuring Peak DataNet’s mission reaches underserved communities effectively.
